MID AGE MUSINGS
OVER 50
WELCOME!
We all have our journeys and our stories to go with them. The purpose of this blog is to talk about these things. The crossroads we face in our 50’s and beyond. The truths, the lessons, the renewed paths back to ourselves. What those look lik amidst our continuing daily lives, retirement, parent-care, nurturing and sustaining friendships and, yes, still parenting or grand parenting.
Join me in exploring this space. We all get stuck in our own worlds sometimes but we are definitely not alone in these experiences. Share what gets you through and keeps you going, what you are loving, how you take care of yourself and what brings you joy!
These challenges are universal. If you are living it, you are welcome here!

About the Blogger
AUDREY GWINN
My name is Audrey. I am a woman over fifty! And also a daughter, a mother, a friend. Nothing extraordinary and yet I am also me; a recent college graduate who is trying to stay relevant, engaged and create meaning for myself in the world. This website is the beginning of my journey to do just that and share it with o community of my peers.

MIDDLE AGE
What is That?
HOW THE JOURNEY BEGAN
Hearing the words “Middle Aged” does not thrill me. Maybe not you either. Am I middle aged at 57? One could only hope! Maybe we are in our mid “stage”. Lately, I feel called to others feeling this “stage” as well. To reach out and share and create a conversation. This public forum is a new space for for me. Not terribly comfortable but important. Especially for women, who are the caretakers and often in need of care themselves. And, so a website and blog for women over 50.
Coming up with the website name is a whole different beast. To find one that is interesting, speaks to what you want to talk about and easy to find on Google is a challenge to be sure.. So, what to call it? Is a Rose, by any other name, still as sweet? I’m not sure in this case.
In a quest to find a name that would resonate with my intended audience, I researched top blog names for the over 50 crowd. Let’s just say the words “Fabulous and 50” are well represented. I’m not saying we’re not fabulous, I was just looking for something else. A light-hearted name that is to the point but not too serious. A place where real life conversations happen with joy and a little humor. Let’s talk about our ages and stages at Mid Age-Musings over 50!
